Our dentists were trained at some of the leading dental schools in the country, including the University of Michigan, Indiana University, and Northwestern University. They regularly update their skills to keep pace with advances in dental technology.
Donald C. Goeckel, D.D.S.

Donald C. Goeckel, D.D.S., who did his undergraduate work at Michigan State University, graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1972. He then had a full time facility appointment in Oral Diagnosis, Radiology and Crown and Bridge Prosthetics at the University of Michigan. After completion, Dr. Goeckel entered full time private practice in Bay City, Michigan.
He further completed postgraduate training at the L.D. Pankey Institute, Miami, Florida, with emphasis on Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Goeckel is a member of The American Dental Association, The Michigan Dental Association, having served on the House of Delegates, and the Saginaw Valley Dental Society. He is also a member of the Francis B. Vedder Society of Crown and Bridge Prosthodontics, as well as a member of the Russell W. Bunting Periodontal Study Association. Dr. Goeckel has received training in all phases of Oral Surgery and Implant Dentistry for over 20 years.
Locally, Dr. Goeckel is on the Board of Directors of the University of Michigan, and is Past President of the American Cancer Society of Bay City.
Dianne C. Weidner, D.D.S., Emerita

Dianne C. Weidner, D.D.S., graduated from Indiana University with an AB in Biology in 1971. She attended Butler University and went on to graduate from Indiana University-Purdue University School of Dentistry in 1976 at which time she joined the Donald C. Goeckel, D.D.S., P.C. team.
Dr. Weidner completed advanced studies in cosmetic dentistry (bleaching of teeth), Oral Surgery and General Anesthesia, Operative Dentistry, Pediatrics, and Cancer Treatment. She completed extensive independent study in Endodontics, Orthodontics and Pain Control (TMJ/TMD), and is a Credentialed Member-Diplomate in the American Academy of Pain Management.
Dr. Weidner, who is currently licensed to practice dentistry in Michigan and in Indiana, is a member of The American Dental Association, The Indiana Dental Association, The Michigan Dental Association, and the Saginaw Valley Dental Society. Her memberrships have included: founding member of American Association for Functional Orthodontics; American Academy of Craniofacial Pain; Cranio-Facial Pain Center; and the Cranial Academy.
Dr. Weidner, who is semi-retired from the practice of dentistry, also serves as a consultant to the office of Donald C. Goeckel, D.D.S., P.C.
Frank A. Dawe, D.D.S

Frank A. Dawe, D.D.S., received his B.S. degree at Western Michign University. In 1970 he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. Dawe then served two years in the United States Army Dental Corps at Ft. Hood, Texas, where he received extensive training in oral surgery and prosthodontics. Dr. Dawe was awarded a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 1981.
Being a lifelong Michigan resident, in 1972 Dr. Dawe and his family moved back to Michigan to practice dentistry in Saginaw and Essexville. He then joined Donald C. Goeckel, D.D.S., P.C., in Bay City, bringing an immense wealth of contemporary practice and knowledge for his patients.
Dr. Dawe is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and a member of the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association and the Saginaw Valley District Dental Society.
Dr. Dawe enjoys playing the piano, exercising and spending time with his family, especially his three grandchildren. He enjoys the "family-like" atmosphere in Dr. Goeckel's office.
